Chapter 2 -- Verse 9

Verse: sañjaya uvāca |
evamuktvā hṛṣīkeśaṃ guḍākeśaḥ parantapa |
na yotsya iti govindamuktvā tūṣṇīṃ babhūva ha ||


संजय उवाच ।
एवमुक्त्वा हृषीकेशं गुडाकेशः परंतप ।
न योत्स्य इति गोविंदमुक्त्वा तूष्णीं बभूव ह ॥

Translation: "Sanjaya said: Having spoken thus, Arjuna, chastiser of enemies, told Krishna, “Govinda, I shall not fight,” and fell silent."
