Chapter 17 -- Verse 20
Verse: dātavyamiti yaddānaṃ dīyate‌உnupakāriṇe |
 deśe kāle ca pātre ca taddānaṃ sāttvikaṃ smṛtam ||

दातव्यमिति यद्दानं दीयते‌உनुपकारिणे ।

 देशे काले च पात्रे च तद्दानं सात्त्विकं स्मृतम् ॥

Translation: That gift which is given, knowing it to be a duty, in a fit time and place, to a worthy person, from whom we expect nothing in return, is held to be SATTWIC.
