Chapter 10 -- Verse 6

Verse: maharṣayaḥ sapta pūrve 
catvāro manavastathā |
madbhāvā mānasā jātā yeṣāṃ loka imāḥ prajāḥ ||

महर्षयः सप्त पूर्वे चत्वारो मनवस्तथा ।
मद्भावा मानसा जाता येषां लोक इमाः प्रजाः ॥


Translation: The seven great RISHIS, the ancient four and also the MANUS, possessed of powers like Me, were born of (My) mind; from them are these creatures in the world (originated and sustained).
